Cursul ANSVSA – Welfare Chicken slaughtering

Personnel and animal welfare officers in poultry slaughterhouses, personnel involved in killing and related operations, respectively personnel involved in carrying out operations of: unloading, handling animals, immobilization, stunning, bleeding and slaughter, animal welfare officers in slaughterhouses.

Slaughterhouses slaughtering less than 1,000 units of live animals for mammals or 150,000 units per year for poultry or rabbits (*) are exempted from this provision.

For the staff listed above, the course is mandatory, in accordance with the provisions of Reg. Cons. no. 1099/2009 / EC on the protection of animals at the time of killing.

The course briefly presents the legislative provisions contained in Reg. Cons no. 1099/2009 / EC on the protection of animals at the time of killing.

The theme of the course is the one specified in the provisions of art. 7 of Reg. Cons. no. 1099/2009 / EC, respectively:

  • handling and care of animals before immobilization;
  • immobilization of animals for stunning and killing;
  • stunning animals;
  • evaluation of the effectiveness of stunning;
  • immobilization and suspension of live animals;
  • bleeding of live animals;
  • animal slaughter;
  • depopulation of the holdings;
